How do you select the garages?

Every garage signs a requirements profile before joining the network. The owner holds the professional certificate as a car mechanic, the garage has at least 3 technicians and 3 lifts, and both owner and technicians attend at least 2 technical training courses a year. The required equipment covers everything a modern car needs: multi-brand diagnostics, EV-Service competence module and charging for hybrids and EVs, air conditioning service for both refrigerants, tyre changer up to 22 inches. On top of that come safety and the environment: compliance with Suva rules and proper disposal of used oil, batteries and tyres. A garage that doesn't meet these points doesn't join the network.

Can I bring any kind of vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in practically all cases. Every garage in the network works on combustion vehicles (petrol, diesel and hybrid), on fully electric cars and on light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 t. The only exception is high-roof vans (H2/H3, above roughly 2.5 m) and vehicles over 3.5 t: not every lift and not every entrance can take them. In that case, check with the garage before booking.

Can I choose the garage myself?

Yes. Filter by city, distance, opening hours, ratings. If you have no preference, we suggest the best match.

What if I’m not satisfied?

You have 14 days to report it. We open a complaint, assist you, and if needed cover the rework at another garage in the network.

What is the difference between a wheel change and a tyre change?

Accepted Answer

A wheel change swaps the complete wheels, rim plus tyre. It is faster and cheaper, but you need a second set of rims. A tyre change keeps your rims: the old tyre is removed from the rim, the new one mounted, and the wheel rebalanced. With only one set of rims, you need a tyre change twice a year.

Which of the two should I book?

Do you have a second set of rims with the tyres already mounted? Then you need a wheel change. If you have only one set of rims, or you are buying new tyres, you need a tyre change. When in doubt, choose the tyre change: the garage sees straight away what is actually needed and tells you.

How long does a tyre or wheel change take?

Expect 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the vehicle and the type of job. It is usually worth waiting in reception rather than dropping the car off and coming back later.

When should I switch to winter tyres?

In Switzerland the rule of thumb runs from October to Easter. Below roughly 7 degrees, the winter compound grips better, even on dry roads. There is no legal requirement, but with summer tyres in winter conditions you carry the consequences if something happens or if you obstruct traffic.

Yes. Once the order is confirmed, the tyre is shipped directly to the garage you chose.

Yes, with the All-Inclusive package or the Tyre Storage service. Certified warehouses under controlled conditions.

What does fitting include?

CHF 28 per wheel: removal, fitting, balancing, pressure check, TPMS reset. Disposal optional (+ CHF 8 per tyre).
